Best preschool in Austin, without a doubt. This school gives kids a foundation to learn at an early age in a fun and rewarding environment. My 2.5 year old can't wait to go to school every day--she knew all of her letters before age 2 and now can count to 49! My oldest two started the day they opened at ages 2 and 4 (now 6 and 8 and love their summer/after-school program). They are in accelerated programs at public school now, and I credit School in the Hills and Montessori for shaping their ability to learn. The teachers are top-notch, and have amazing patience and enthusiasm. The owners and front staff are warm and friendly, and take a genuine interest in making school a positive experience for our whole family. We are very thankful that SITH came to our neighborhood!
This place is fantastic. The owners are still very hands on and involved in the school. I've watched many children grow and evolve and it's been a beautiful site.
You will be hard-pressed to find a better school in Austin. We have our two boys there and can't wait for our baby girl to be old enough to attend. We have experienced both a Children's Courtyard and the Children's Center of Austin and the quality of School in the Hills is outstanding. I'm not sure what happened with the two one star reviews on here, but I've never had anything but a positive experience with the owners and teachers. In fact, one of the great things about the school is that the owners are onsite actually managing/running things everyday - in fact they greet students at the door every single morning. They are always willing to listen and engage with you and the structure of the Montessori lessons really resonates with the kids - our boys LOVE going to school. Our oldest boy is reading, doing multiplication, and can identify countries around the world - he is four. We are constantly getting emails and pictures from the teachers and you can tell they really care about the kids. True, it is expensive, but not that much more than a "regular" daycare. Completely worth it.
excellent school with excellent teachers. we could not have asked for better. they are very responsive to parent concerns and help our children academically excel.
I love our school! I have two children two enrolled and one just started in September. The environment is warm and welcoming and every staff member top- notch from the teachers to the office and kitchen staff to the janitors. SITH has a superb focus on early learners. Teachers and administrators know every student. Walking through the school every morning with my Pre-schooler and Toddler feels like being with a celebrity! The overall feel of the school is kindness and inclusiveness. Special thanks to Ms Aidee, Ms Gigi, Mrs Jessica, Ms Jay, Ms Ashley, Ms Ariana and Ms Lisa the school director. Our family is forever thankful to EACH of you for your love, dedication and commitment to change the lives of so many children.
