Excellent tech help & service. While shopping craigslist for used road, or cx, bikes, I was hitting the bike shops in town. The owner approached me, and I told him no way I could afford a new bike & just looking. He took a bunch of time teaching me how to shop for a used road bike. He also corrected my thinking about buying lightweight tires, and to give more importance to energy transfer (low rolling resistance) & flat resistance. I ended up buying a cheap cx bike elsewhere, and bought a road wheelset from AJ's, for my cx. When I bought my road wheelset, he was able to sell me a set of gently used road tires for super cheap. Very cool. I love this place.
I took my bike, it had a flat. Hawk said the lining and tube needed to be replaced. He replaced them. Used it once and it was flat again. This time He said it was something else, He didn't even apologize and I had to pay again for the same repair
Nice shop although merchandise is getting lean. Great service on bikes...last several tuneups have been spot on and, in my experience, better than other shops (have not used all). Highly recommended.
Called in to ask about pricing, gave me no help, when asking what parts I would need didn't say anything besides you need a new wheel, I have a brand new bike that has parts that are able to be changed out and the customer service was terrible, I will order offline rather than shopping locally, AJ's Cyclery SUCKS!!!!! Don't go to this place!
I had a few hours to kill so I rented a bike from CJs. The service was great and the staff was outstanding! Next time I'm in the area I will rent from these folks again! Heck, they even game water!
