We have shopped at Mega Furniture many times over the last few years and were recently very disappointed. So much so, that we will never spend a dime in this place again. We recently were shopping for a couch and loveseat set and went to Mega, as we have bought our last couple sets from them. We told the salesman that we needed to measure the area first, but he said in order to get the deal we would need to pay for it. He told us that we could measure and then call them and let them know if we wanted to have the order shipped. We didn't need the set for a month. He wrote the dimensions on the work order and told us to let him know. Well, after measuring, we realized it wouldn't fit so called him. He told us that we would have to pay a 40% restocking fee. He said it was company policy and we should have read the fine print in our contract, which we weren't given until after he ran our credit card. Basically, it was company policy and he didn't mean to give us a different impression. My husband explained that if they upheld the 40% rule, we would exchange the set, but never spend another dine in their again. we trusted the salesman to do the right thing and honor his agreement, and we were very disappointed when they would not. We will never spend money at Mega again, nor will we recommend another person to ship there
I walked in and they greeted me and asked if I needed help. I told them I was just going to look around and I really appreciated that they let me look on my own with no pressure.
I asked for assistance and had questions on a table and chair set, as well as a TV console. Garett was very helpful and professional. I purchased both items. I rated 4 stars because with everyone, there is always room for improvement.
Jake and George were a great help from start to finish. I am in the customer service business and have to give these guys a A+. The customer service at Mega Furniture is fantastic. I had an issue with my couch that was completely my fault and by the rules should not have been covered under the factory warranty. I contacted George at Mega Furniture in Austin to see what could be done. He quickly helped resolve my issue with the manufacturer under factory warranty. This will be the first place I stop for future furniture needs based on this level of customer service.
