My mother has been to several different Rehabilitation facilities for various reasons over the past few years and I can honestly say that Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is top notch. Super clean, up to date, very well organized.We were impressed not only with the Therapists who worked their magic, but also with the kindness and attention of the doctor, the dedication of the entire nursing staff and everyone we came in contact with throughout my mother's two week stay. The first point of contact pre-admission person (Dawn) was very thorough and made my mother feel comfortable from the get go. The Case Manager (Tammy) for my mother was incredibly efficient, a great communicator, and super knowledgeable, and made our mother's rehab experience easy for our family to manage from admission through discharge. She is a great face for the facility. Mom was first there over a year ago and when she recently needed to rehab again we immediately knew THIS was the place we hoped that she could go. Five stars for sure.
My brother has been there 4 days. They don't clean his room. My mom had to change his sheets. He's in a lot of pain and some of the nurses ignore him. Now we try to keep some one there around the clock. Each day we are taking pictures to prove the disservice he's getting. His insurance is paying for rehab and he doesn't get it daily. The doctor ordered a patch for his back pain and he's yet to get it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place unless you time to sit there all day and night. I did just that last Friday....
The professional people at Central Texas Rehab are outstanding! They are passionate about their profession, positive in nature, caring for their patients, and were so helpful to me and my family. I can't say enough positive things in this review. The teams there helped me through a very difficult time.
I cannot express enough gratitude to CTRH! The entire staff including the therapists, doctors, nurses, techs, receptionists, dining staff and security was so kind and made my 3-week stay so enjoyable! The therapists, both OT and PT, were beyond amazing and my progression back to normal happened so quickly --- in large part due to the work, patience and knowledge of these incredible people!
I don't recommend this facility to nobody. The people here are not professional. My mother was here for two weeks. The nurses did not like to assist her. They were always very unresponsive when you contact them. The nurses are not friendly. The staff entirely seem like they don't know what their job description is. Overall, It was sickening watching my mother get treated the way she did. The physical therapist there name Laura Seifert was very angry, irate, as we were leaving the facility. This woman has behave that way since the day we met her. She shouldn't be in any health care field. She doesn't care about the patients. My family are very disgusted by the staff treatment. I believe the people here are racist.I will advise anybody who care about their loved ones and relatives not to take them to this establishment!!! There is much needed improvement that needs to be done.
I would highly recommend Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone in need of in-patient rehabilitation therapy. I plan on visiting all my new friends often!
