After my 92 year old grandma got hit by a bus, I brought her here, but they just threw her out of a third story window, saying she was too old to classify as a child. I couldn't be bothered to get her, I was tired after a long day running around at the sprint shop nearby, So I got a chocolate from the vending machine. It tasted alright, even though there was a spider in there. Sadly, the spider set off an allergic reaction and I got really dizzy. I stumbled around until falling out the same window my grandma did all those hours before. She broke my fall and I broke her rib cage. That's when I looked up to the window and saw the doctor who threw her out there in the first place. He nodded and smiled. I guess God does work in mysterious ways after all.

I am only giving 1 star because I can't submit a review with zero. We've had numerous terrible experiences with this clinic over the years, which led to us driving to San Antonio for better care. After a 3 year hiatus, we decided to give Dell another try - hoping things were better. I'm here to say that things have NOT changed. I now understand why we left 3 years ago, and I totally understand why more than half of their old neurologists left Dell and joined a different group. If you don't mind being treated poorly and settling for subpar customer service, then Dell is right for you. However, if you have even an ounce of expectation that you will be given decent customer service, look elsewhere and drive the extra miles to San Antonio. There are so many reasons why I despise this clinic, but these are my top 4: (1) always overcharged despite insurance telling them exactly what they should charge, then Dell takes 6 months to reimburse. I believe they are fraudulently leveraging the customer's money by overcharging and giving excuses for several months about why it's taking so long to reimburse money that should have never been collected. Don't believe me? Read Summer's review below. This happened to us TWICE. (2) typically wait anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes in the waiting room to be called back to see the doctor, but the one time I called ahead saying I was stuck behind an accident and going to be 17 minutes past my appointment, they refuse to see me. (3) appointments are typically 6 to 8 months out because they have so few providers. (4) it takes at least 1 week, sometimes 2, to get a return call from a doctor - even after expressing urgency after a scary seizure. I could go on and on, but these will do for now. I hope another practice comes along and shuts this place down!
I wish all hospitals (for kids and adults) were so amazing and caring as Dell Children's.
We leave this place feeling so grateful! Our little one was in the best hands.
No one ever wants to be in a hospital, but if you have to bring your loved ones, Dell Children's Hospital is the best place to be.
I called the patient representative and it took at least a day and a half for her to call me back. Although she agreed to help and apologized for my inconvenience, didn't seem at all motivated to bring the issues (poor customer service/bad website) up to higher levels of management for improvement. If you don't need to use Dell, go somewhere else. Although, sometimes you're just stuck with their pediatric sub-specialists because there's no one else in town.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Our 20-month-old son was in this amazing hospital for a Reactive Airway Disease or Asthma/like episode. He was almost without oxygen and turning blue. I could not even express how excellent the attention was. Every single person - doctors, nurses and specialists were incredibly helpful, prepared, professional, informative, caring and loving.
My wife now wants to move to Austin to feel safe about having such an amazing hospital close to home.
We're traveling from Florida to a tech conference in Austin and my daughter had some scary medical challenges. We were referred to Dell's and were quickly admitted because the frontdesk lady was caring enough to look at her and see how bad she looked. All the nurses and doctors were super caring, did many exams, got her medicated, more exams to evaluate the progress, etc. After a few hours, a lady came with a bag of gifts, including a talking Olaf, which made my daughter super happy. Different doctors came to see her, they discussed her case in front of us, explaining every single medical term. She was going to be admitted to stay the night for observation, but they asked if we would rather take her back to the hotel and do the observation ourselves, and come back if necessary. Thank God (and Dell Children's amazing staff) she's fine this morning.
Would give a zero for customer service and website if I could. Had to look for vestibular therapist. The website didn't provide the clinic information, furthermore, the operators didn't know anything about it so I sent me to a clinic (physical therapist admin) who didn't know anything about it or where to direct me. I called at least one clinic where I was forced to leave voicemail message. One clinic (appt desk) said they respond to messages in the morning only. I left a message at the outpatient rehab clinic in the morning and never heard back from them.
Had the most amazing medical experience of my life on May/21/2017.
