Google posted this location in reference to an ER query, and this facility does NO WALK IN's or ER. So F.U. Google, and F.U. this facility. It is horribly backwards that something as important as Mental Health is still treated so !!
AMAZING. I was checked in here last October and I was out in an ideal 3 days. The therapists and techs here are incredible, food is bearable, and it is overall a stress free environment. I was checked into the teens group and they were all jokeful and kind to one another. The techs were easy to talk to and actually mess around with, so it wasn't 100% serious all of the time. Amazing care. Highly recommended!!
My short stay was accompanied by amazingly friendly nurses that we could even joke with and sympathetic patients that made me feel welcome. It seemed like a pretty scary place when I was first told that's where i was being sent to, I was nice to everyone and eager to do anything to get out ASAP, one reason was because I had a band competition really soon. The doctors could feel my sense of urgency and could tell i was already wanting to change so they did what they could to get me in and out with something to come out of it. They eventually got me out a day before my competition where i got a 1st division, and I'm extremely pleased they let me out so fast and with a good therapist outside.
I was 1st sent to PES & I left it 5 hours later. The "INN" was horrible. Then i got into shoal creek. I wanna go back. I think 9 days wasn't long enough for me. I love the staff. They make me feel safe which is 1 thing i need to feel. Plus the friends i met r the kind of ppl who actually get me. They understand like the staff. They are trained for this they're so good. They really genuinely care. I need to go back.
Edit: My stay was in April of 2016
If I could give this facility a -10 I would! My son was admitted recently and the whole goal was to change his meds and get him right. He went in Thursday before memorial day weekend and was there til Tuesday. Not once did I receive communication from the Doctors because it was a "holiday" weekend, not once did they change his medications, not once did they make him shower, I showed up 4 of the 5 days with him in the same clothes covered in food!!!! They did not have a visitation sheet for him at the front and had to go through the same non-sense every day tryin to see my son or worse case scenario, anyone could have walked in off the street, they had him rooming with a suicidal patient, the kids ran wild everywhere and they told him when he was being discharged before telling his parent and did absolutely NOTHING for my child!!!! He went in and came out on the same medications and the same behavior issues!!! Do NOT send your child to this place!!
