Went to the ER for chest pain and coughing red/brown flem, which a triage nurse suggested that I was coughing blood. ER docs didn't find anything, and I sat for an extra hour in my room with no communication from staff before finally being discharged.
It is quite frustrating to make an appointment. My experience was with imaging services. Doctor provided an ultrasound order. Called scheduling services, they needed the order to be faxed. I don't have a fax, offered to send e-mail with scanned file, they have no e-mail. It is 2017 and they expect to get things only via fax, this is ridiculous! A healthcare facility, a hospital and have such expectations. I went somewhere else although they were closer in distance simply because I couldn't schedule the appointment.
Went there a couple days for a breathing issue amd get seen as soon as i got there and was helped within a couple hours and was on my way the nurse was helpful and willing to do anything to help make me comfy the doctor was very well knowledgeable about everything i asked he diagnosed me quickly gave me the right medicines to help me i was feeling better than i did when i walked in i would recommend this hospital to anyone in the area and even tourist if i could give more stars i would
Best visit to the ER ever. Dr. Shih and associates were awesome. If I ever have an option on which ER to go to I'm coming to this one. Thanks guys and gals
Fast forward 2 months, and I receive a $900 bill from the ER doctor. Now, Seton Southwest is in-network but it turns out that they contract in ER doctors which were out-of-network. My insurance tells me that it's "impossible to know" whether a doctor is in-network or not, but refuses to pay the bill. The ER doctor's billing group tells me that it's the insurance's responsibility. So now I'm stuck with a $900 bill even though I went to an in-network hospital.
Bottom line -- Seton ER seems to scam patients by hiring out-of-network doctors. Go somewhere else unless you like surprise bills.
My son fell and needed an X-ray of his arm. We went in on a Saturday evening. We were immediately seen. Everyone from the orthopedist to the nurses and other staff were amazing, kind, and fast. Thank you Seton staff.
