I took my son with a badly broken elbow to the St. David's Children's ER. I cannot say enough good things about these people and this hospital. The Nurses, every one that interacted with us were happy, knowledgable, helpful, patient, attentive and even in the middle of night they were just the best. So very professional. I never felt alone or that they didn't care, or anything negative. Nothing put positive experience from a super stressful painful experience. They scheduled my son for surgery the next morning and I hated having to wait, but the explanations and patience of the staff was just great. Constantly checking on us, they acknowledge your right to guide your care as well. They have Ipads and a kids play room, decent TV, good food and I just can't say enough about the nurses. SO happy this hospital is here. It is much smaller than Dell's, and I think the level of attention and care you get reflects that - It's better. Thank you guys.
Came around 330 gone before 4. & the staff was so sweet!
I was there early this morning after leaving an independent freestanding emergency room much closer to me. The intake staff, nurses, and doctor were kind, calm and patient people. I had no wait at 4am and they did not leave us out of the loop on what they planned to do so it felt like we barely waited at all for anything. My son went in screaming in pain and walked out less than 2 hours later giving high-fives and chatting up a storm. A special shout-out to RN Colby who earned my son's trust and made the whole ordeal go smooth. He was an essential person in making my child feel better.
Was at this ER this morning with my 9 yr old daughter. After having a couple of unpleasant experiences at Dell Childrens ER (condescending nurses and their comments) I was happy to find out we have an alternative for pediatric care. We received excellent service from the front desk as well as the nurse and MD who treated her. I was never made to feel inadequate or that any question was a silly one. As a nurse myself of 20+ years I was very impressed and will tell all my friends and coworkers about this fantastic place.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. My god son was taken here because he hasn't been able to keep food down for 24 hrs. A nurse told us they had more important children to take care of because they were coughing. My god son was born at 27 weeks, with a rip in his intestin. Had to have 3 survey's when born. Also mentioning the knots he is getting on his head we are so concerned but they aren't. My daughter has also been here and was mis diagnosed TWICE. won't be going back.
