My husband is a disabled veteran and came here to the hospital and it was aweful experience. He has knee issue due to combat in Afghanistan. He was playing with dog and all of suddenly felt faint and couldn't walk. It scared us so we went to the ER. After forever in waiting, they didn't even look at the knee and just decided that he was in combat there for that must be the issue. So they told him they would wrap it and send him home. After waiting for long they didn't wrap it and sent him and told him to take pill.

We went to ER because we were worried, but instead felt like cattle that needed to moved along. I will never ever bring any in my family near this again. If you hate your medical job so bad fine but don't work somewhere where people depend on you. Seems like at ST. Davids Hospital staff, if you have to go here, please hope you get someone in a better mood, if not you maybe worse off.

This review is for their Insurance Verification department and their operator phone line. Instead of listening to you, it seems the operator with whom I spoke to several times this morning will listen for keywords, then transfer you immediately without waiting for you to finish talking and without checking to see if anyone will be on the line to which they are transferring you to receive your call. I have also been calling for their Insurance verification number for OVER A MONTH to get a billing estimate to have my baby at St. David's hospital and they answered the phone once out of at least 30 phone calls (and that one time they couldn't provide any information or help me in the slightest). After who knows how many voice mails I left for them after that, I finally got an email back from them and they gave me information about Methodist hospital instead for some reason. I wouldn't even give them the one star, but there isn't a lower rating.

I was scheduled for preop at this hospital and had a CBC and Chem 20 done. I was billed an outrageous fee of $795 for these tests because they thought I was private pay and could get away with it. When I asked them to bill my insurance, they refused. Instead, they sent my account to Medicredit for collections. I finally filed my own insurance and the hospital was paid the insurance's negotiated rate of $76.73! They were then required to adjust the remaining exorbitant fees. Sadly, prices are grossly inflated for private pay patients! I have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General.

I have nothing but praise and gratitude to say about every member of staff, no matter what level. I have never met an unkind or uncaring person at St. David’s. The team of Cardio Texas deserves high praise, for being on top of treatment of Cardiac Care. They are the best. Dr. Hashim Khan, MD, F.A.C.C., an Interventional Cardiologist quickly assessed that I had 4 Major blocked Coronary Arteries, and with a great deal of intelligence and skill was able to stent the blocked areas open. He is an incredibly brilliant and skilled Clinician. He is very kind and takes the time to answer his patient’s questions or address concerns. He respectfully collaborated with me through every facet and level of my care. He has my utmost respect as do all the members of his team and his colleagues. They each genuinely care. I wish St.David’s was in Temple instead of Scott & White.

I wasn't happy about the reason I was there, but the care was terrific. Most of the nurses knew what they were doing. They were all friendly, & willing to help. They treated me very well. The Dr's are all excellent. They don't treat you like a number & get out of the room as fast as possible. They sit & talk to you so you understand what is happening. The food was terrific, like from a restaurant.
