Holiday Inn Guest Services comp'd our Friday night stay and then honored the Saturday night rate from the other hotel, as an offering to ease the horrendous experience with the other hotel.
We were hooked up with this hotel by Holiday Inn Guest Relations after arriving at another Holiday Inn in Round Rock, TX at 1:30am on 10/21/17, only to be turned away by a very unsympathetic front desk manager, with the excuse that there were no available rooms, even in the face of a printed copy of our confirmation number.
We would love to send out a huge Thank You to our friends on the staff here who helped make traveling comedian, Ryan Cownie's stay so great! The room was perfect, there was a laundry room, and plenty of safe parking. There's also a good little restaurant on-site to help get some food before the gig!
Was there for a business meeting. The hotel was clean and smelled good when I walked in which is important. The meeting room was well-prepared with a water station, provided supplies and was nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a very good experience.
My wife and I will definitely remember this hotel in the future, as we are fairly frequent visitors to the Austin area. I give this place a hearty 5 stars and would recommend it as an amazing experience to anyone needing a room in the area.
We got in bed around 3:30am after the exhausting experience with the other hotel. The staff at this hotel, along with the room, breakfast area, and everything were some of the nicest we've ever seen with Holiday Inn. We have been Priority Club members since 1999.
Upon arriving at this Austin Midtown hotel, we were warmly greeted by the front desk and were treated with a prompt check-in and room keys. We were even alerted that where we had parked was not very safe and directed to park in the back, where it was well lit.
When I arrived at the hotel, I politely requested to Griselda if she could accommodate me in a room with one bed, of what she answer that they did not have any rooms with one bed, only two beds. I did not believe that. When I entered the room which it was very spacious, clean, nice linen, very cold because of A.C., great room overall, I wasn't satisfied with Griselda's answer. I went to have dinner at a restaurant near by so I decided to make a call and pretend that I was looking for a room at the hotel, obviously with ONE BED. I called reservations at the hotel and they said: YES! We have rooms with one bed available for tonight, would you like me to book it for you? I was very surprised and angry. I was having dinner near by. When I came back to the hotel, I pretended to be a walk in guest and asked for rooms available with one bed, then the night shift checked rate and availability for one night only, he told me that he had a one KING size room available. Then, I told him why are they lying to the customers saying such big lies. I told him my story and he was very surprised. He offered me to change rooms with no EXTRA CHARGE. I was tired, pissed and there was no way I was going to change rooms that late not to mention to move my stuff. He was nice but thanks to Griselda my staying at the hotel was very uncomfortable. The problem was not the bed, which it was nice, but the fact that LYING to customers is very INNAPROPIATE. I HOPE this gets to the hotel MANAGEMENT. Stayed Sept 1 checked out Sept 2. Room 519
This was a great stay with excellent service. Daniel with the maintenance staff was very professional and went to great lengths to provide his knowledge and resourcefulness. I recommend this hotel for a great experience with delightful front desk staff as well.
