I purchased a leather sofa from Simply Austin Furniture back in September 2013. The couch looked great and I was told by Penny, the store owner, that the couch was extremely durable, genuine leather, and would last at least 8 years. Turns out that was not the case. A few months ago, the couch started peeling. The peeling kept getting worse and the couch is now ruined. I did some research and found out that the couch is not genuine leather but rather bonded leather. I called Simply Austin Furniture to see what could be done. Initially they told me that they would reach out to the manufacturer. I never heard back so I kept following up. I never got a straight answer and nothing was done. I would avoid going to this store. Their furniture does not hold up and they do no stand behind their products. I recommend going somewhere else even if it means spending a little more.
Its a big box store with Austin in the name. Had to wait a week because they don't have anything on hand, they order from a manufacturer when you order. On my order they ordered the wrong piece of furniture. They offered to switch it out for me if I was willing to wait another week. The furniture itself is ok but you can get it at any store.
They delivered our couch to us the day we bought it! Showed up 15 mins early and they set it up quickly. Owner is very nice and everything is very affordable. Will be going back soon for our future needs!
Simply Austin Furniture is great because of their decent selection, prices, and staff. Penny was great in helping us find a bed we liked and was great to work with. No sales pressure, deals with fineprint, or being followed around the showroom. I will always choose local businesses over chain stores, and this place is worth it. Our bed came in right on time and even got delivered a day earlier. Penny remembered that we were sleeping without a frame since we moved and when somebody canceled she gave us a call. How thoughtful! Delivery guys were on time, communicated well, and assembled everything. Hardworking and super nice guys (all for a super low price compared to other stores) . Some prices are a hit or miss though, but there are always deals to be had. I will definitely be coming back here in the future to finish furnishing my apartment.
